What is Commission Junction?
Commission Junction is a leading third-party affiliate marketing program provider that provides Web site publishers with trusted third-party tracking, real-time reporting and monthly commission checks. When you sign up for our affiliate program, you'll become a member of Commission Junction’s affiliate network. (They will refer to you as a publisher.) As a new publisher, you’ll gain instant access to Commission Junction's site, where you can create your own personal, secure account. You can log into Commission Junction at any time to get DriveTime banners and links, generate reports about commissions, and much more.
How does DriveTime’s affiliate program work?
Once you are approved as an affiliate of DriveTime, you will be given access to your custom affiliate links through Commission Junction that you can place anywhere in your Web site, e-mail newsletter, or within your search engine marketing campaigns. Your links can point people to any page within the DriveTime Web site (our homepage, directly to our credit application, etc.). When someone clicks on your DriveTime affiliate link and completes a credit application, you'll earn an $8.00 commission.
Who qualifies?
Our affiliate program is designed to provide anyone who has access to the Web the opportunity to earn a recurring commission for promoting DriveTime.com. That said, we expect our most successful affiliates to be individuals and entities who have a Web site with substantial traffic and/or visitors, Webmasters with great influence on their visitors (like Webloggers); moderators of a chat room, message board, or mailing list; or anyone who writes for or publishes an online newsletter.
While we would like to allow everyone to participate in our affiliate program, there are cases where we cannot allow certain sites to participate in our affiliate program. We review each application and will notify you of your acceptance or rejection. We may reject your application if we determine, at our sole discretion, that your site is unsuitable or ineligible for the program.
Unsuitable sites include, but are not limited to, those that:
| 1. | promote sexually explicit materials. |
| 2. | promote violence. |
| 3. | promote illegal activities. |
| 4. | promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. |
| 5. | include "drivetime.com" or variations or misspellings thereof in their domain names. |
| 6. | otherwise violate intellectual property rights. |
Ineligible sites include those that:
• already have a paid advertising or distribution agreement with DriveTime.
If we reject your application, you are welcome to reapply to the program at any time. You also should note that if we accept your application and your site is thereafter determined, at our sole discretion, to be unsuitable for the program, we may terminate the agreement.
Why should I join?
Providing a link to DriveTime gives your Web site, newsletter, or mailing list audience the opportunity to apply for the credit they need to get a car even if they’re had serious credit problems or have no credit history at all. That said, as an affiliate, you’ll earn a commission for every qualified person who applies for credit through DriveTime, whether his or her credit application is approved. In order to be qualified to complete a credit application at DriveTime, a person must: 1) reside in a DriveTime area, 2) makes a minimum of $1200 monthly income, and 3) be at least 18 years old.

I don't have a Web site. Can I still join?
Although we do not require all affiliate links to be placed on a Web site, we do require our affiliates to have a Web site in order to join our program. We provide our affiliates with links that display either graphical images (i.e., banners) or text and can be used in Web sites or in newsletters, mailing lists, and more. We also provide our affiliates with recommended keywords to use in search engine marketing campaigns.
How do I join?
Joining the DriveTime affiliate program is easy and takes about 5 minutes. Simply complete our sign-up form, and we’ll review your application and let you know whether or not you’ve been accepted within 1-2 business days.
How much does it cost to join?
It costs nothing to join the DriveTime affiliate program.
How do I get banners or text links for my Web site?
Once you’ve signed up for the DriveTime affiliate program, you’ll get immediate access to Commission Junction, where you can find a variety of links to use for your Web site. To access the list of links, just follow these steps:
| 1. | Log into your Commission Junction account using the login information they provided to you. |
| 2. | Select DriveTime from the Current Merchant Partners area. |
| 3. | Click on Show Links. |
| 4. | Choose the link you want to use, and then click Get HTML. |
How do I add an affiliate link to my Web site?
Follow the steps above to copy the HTML for the banner or text link you want to use on your Web site, and simply paste it in the HTML for your Web page.
How do I use an affiliate link in my e-mail newsletter or mailing list?
Follow the steps above to copy the HTML for the text link you want to use on your Web site, and simply paste it in the HTML for your Web page.
How do I use keyword links?
Keyword links are only available to those publishers who select Search Engine Marketing in the Promotional Methods area of their account settings.
Follow these steps to enable Keyword links:
| 1. | Log into your Commission Junction account. |
| 2. | Click on Account, then Web Site Settings. |
| 3. | Click the Edit button from the Account Settings area. |
The Edit Account Settings interface displays.
| 4. | Check the Search Engine Marketing checkbox. |
| 5. | Click the Save button. |
The Keyword link HTML is now available from the Get HTML page for the associated Keyword link for each publisher who offers that feature to their affiliates.
May I use the DriveTime.com logo or DriveTime’s content on my site?
You’ll have access to a wide variety of banners, buttons and text links when you sign up for our affiliate program. You are welcome to use any number of graphics and text links provided through this program, but you may not alter or modify any banners or buttons without obtaining prior written permission from DriveTime. You also must request and secure permission before using any DriveTime content that was not created solely for this program (such as copy from the DriveTime Web site), as well as any third party's copyrighted materials, on your site. If you are unsure about your rights to use or modify the materials for your Web site or you have any questions related to copyrighted materials, please contact us.
Can I use my affiliate links in my search engine marketing campaigns?
Yes, you can use your affiliate links in your search engine marketing campaigns. However, you must adhere to our Keyword Link usage policy published within Commission Junction that provides information about usage guidelines and recommendations, recommended keywords, protected (forbidden) keywords, and non-compete keywords.
Are there links available in other languages?
Yes, we offer text-based links in both English and Spanish.
How do I get paid?
You get paid a commission when someone clicks on your affiliate link (textual link or banner) and completes a credit application at DriveTime.com. Note: Per Virginia state law, we are not permitted to compensate affiliates for referrals for credit applications submitted for vehicles to be sold in Virginia.
How much do I get paid?
As an affiliate, you will earn $8.00 for each qualified person you drive to the DriveTime.com Web site who completes an online credit application. In order to be qualified to complete a credit application at DriveTime, a person must: 1) reside in a DriveTime area, 2) makes a minimum of $1200 monthly income, and 3) be at least 18 years old.
In addition, you can earn the following bonuses:
| • | $100 one-time bonus when you drive 50 new completed applications within one month |
| • | $200 one-time bonus when you drive 75 new completed applications within one month |
| • | $500 one-time bonus when you drive 100 new completed applications within one month |
When do I get paid?
Commission Junction will issue you a check each month that you earn $25.00 or more in commissions from all affiliate programs that you are participating in. Commission Junction will combine all of your commissions into a single check.
Do I get paid if someone completes a credit application more than once?
Because we pay a commission for each new qualified lead you generate who applies for credit at DriveTime, you only get paid once for each individual who completes a credit application.
If a visitor I send does not submit an application during his or her first visit, will I still get paid?
Yes. You will earn a commission if you send a visitor to the DriveTime.com Web site and he or she submits a credit application during any subsequent visit they make within 45 days.
How do I keep track of my commissions?
As a Commission Junction publisher, you’ll have 24/7 access to real-time commission reports via the Web. Simply log into your Commission Junction account and click the Run Reports tab to generate and view both performance and transaction reports.
How can I find out how many people clicked on my links?
To find out how many people have clicked on your links, log into your Commission Junction account and click the Run Reports tab. Then click the Performance tab and choose Clicks from the Trends By field to generate your click performance reports.
Are there any restrictions regarding who can complete a credit application?
The individual completing a credit application must be in a DriveTime area, must make a minimum of $1200 monthly income, and must be 18 years old to complete a credit application at DriveTime.
