The details:
We’ll look to you to use your incredible people skills to build positive relationships with customers who have gotten late on their payments, keeping as many accounts current as possible. You’ll be the first point of contact, the problem solver, and more.
- Collections here is all about providing excellent customer service - over the phone and face-to-face.
- You’ll contact or try to contact customers who are 7-59 days past due and negotiate payment arrangements (‘Promises To Pay,’ electronic check payments, money orders, etc.).
- When people attempt to voluntarily surrender their cars, you’ll use your excellent problem solving skills to help them keep their cars AND maintain payments.
- We’ll count on you to meet or exceed goals (like call volume, dollars collected and completion of meet and greets and so on).
- Help train Loan Representatives when needed.
The requirements:
- Excellent communication, persuasion and negotiation skills.
- High school diploma (or equiv); College ideal!
- 3+ years collections experience (But if you have extra skills and school, we might make an exception).
- Motivation, PC skills.
- Flexibility to work eves/wknds.
- Last but not least, you’ll definitely need to pass a drug test and a background check.
