The details:
- Use your great people skills to meet and greet customers and make them feel welcome and relaxed.
- Receive payments from customers, issue receipts and update accounts.
- Record amounts received and prepare transaction reports.
- Read and record totals shown on cash register tape and verify them against cash and checks on hand.
- Balance cash and cash drawer fund at shift-end, endorsing checks and dropping them into the safe.
- Help the Senior Office Coordinator with orientation and training of new Cashiers and acts as a resource to answer questions and help to solve problems.
- Various other clerical and related duties as assigned.
The requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 6+ months of cashiering experience.
- Knowledge of personal computer keyboard and calculator.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with customers, managers and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
- A combination of experience and education that is equivalent to the requirements above will also be considered.
- Last but not least, you’ll definitely need to pass a drug test and a background check.
