Richmond (July 15, 2005) – Law enforcement, civic groups, and one very committed used car dealership are coming together to support safety and citizenship at Richmond's annual participation in National Night Out.
For the past five years, DriveTime, the largest integrated used car sales and finance company in the country, has been a sponsor of Richmond's National Night Out, and this year is no exception.
National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2 from 6-10PM at the Satellite Restaurant at 4000 Jefferson Davis Highway in Richmond.
DriveTime employees and volunteers from SchoolTime, a community outreach program started last year by DriveTime, will set up a tent and hand out school supplies and t-shirts. DriveTime will also hold raffles throughout the evening with prizes ranging from backpacks to lunch boxes to amusement park tickets.
SchoolTime began in 2004 as a way for DriveTime employees to become more involved in their communities. SchoolTime volunteers enter into long-term partnerships with at least one school in their area and commit to donating time and resources to the school throughout the year. In Richmond, SchoolTime supports Summer Hill Elementary.
