PHOENIX, Ariz. – Dec. 3, 2004 – DriveTime, a Phoenix-based used car sales and finance company, raised $76,800 for Lincoln and Rose Linda elementary schools by donating over $100 of every car sold in October to the company's philanthropic program SchoolTime.

In 2004, DriveTime launched its SchoolTime program, under which the company partners with one or more elementary schools in each of its 12 markets. DriveTime currently partners with 13 schools nationwide serving more than 9,000 students with an average of over 14 events per region in the past year, the first year of the program.
DriveTime's program emphasizes employee volunteerism and SchoolTime events have included support for various school activities and celebrations, "Homework Helper" and "Christmas Angel" programs, rehabilitations projects, book donations and food drives. SchoolTime has also helped pay for new air conditioning units, basketball court repairs and outdoor field lights.
Nationwide DriveTime sold 4,004 cars in October and raised over $435,000 for its SchoolTime schools.
